The Band Game

:/ okay, so the aim of the game is just to edumacate others in new music. So what you do ish pick a band, get a youtube vid and post your favorite song by them. Then you write a little blurb about the band, its history and a bit on the style. so i guess i'll start.


~Emilie Autumn~






Emilie Autumn is best known for her wide range of music styles and use of theratrics. She started playing the violin when she was four and went to various music schools throughout her teenage life. Emilie is a big history buff and her interests span from the medieval era, through the Renaissance to the Baroque period.
Her style has devoloped a lot through her career. Combining rock, classical, cabaret and Irish folk influences in the beginning, she progressed to Neo-victorian or what's called Dark Caberet. Using viola, harpsicord and an eletric violin, Emilie has brought a unique touch to her music.

As a disclaimer, this song is heavily sarcastic and she is not glamaorizing sucide. I know it might sound like it, but you really have to understand the time period that she is taking reference from. I would explain, but.. im getting to drawn out. XD

TATU~ SHOW ME LOVE

This is Tatu. It is two female vocalists. They are awesome. They are Russian. When their duo first came out they produced the image of being homosexuals, but later on they made it clear that they were not. The group consists of Lena Katina and Yulia Volkova. They both went solo now, but they are still amazing. I absolutely love them.
